Map positions for TD's Empty Map positions for TD's

Can anyone help me out with any resources that I can look at for good map poistions / tactics for Tank Destroyers. I've read the guides for the TD's that I use such as the Jagdtiger & ISU-152 but feel that I always you the same tactics and routes on the maps. Many thanks.

I have now over 500 battles in my ISU. And the best advice that I can give you is: get xvm. Look wether your team is good or not and how bad/good the enemys are. If they are bad you can play the ISU like a shoot and hide tank (by that I mean pop around a corner, DERP, get the hell out of there). Because if they are bad, they will just bounce of your gun mantlet.
If the enemy team is good I had quite much succes by just playing like a medium tank, because the ISU is pretty fast and if you have mediums with you, they will be thankfull to have your BL-10 with them and you can take out the enemy mediums fairly quickly. The general tactic for the ISU is: be sneaky, take unusual positions. And you should always have the backdoor open if you know what I mean (that you can go back into cover). And I highly recommend to get sixth sense on the ISU crew.

ISU ? Stay back and dont get spotted. Troll with BL-10 - profit.

ISU? Rush forward and kill everything that gets in your way - profit. Wink

PS. I play my TD's aggressively, too aggressively some say.

Hi glooscap

I have been using Tazilon's maps for tips on positioning. He has popular/typical TD spots marked on the maps.

You've probably seen all these already but just in case.

Can someone confirm how good Tazilion's judgment on positioning for TDs is?

Well Tazilion's page is a scouting guide so he shows the most common place where TD's chill arround. I am no TD player so I don't know.
Possibly some other map tactics links from here https://sgta.forumotion.com/t829-map-tactics-links contain more usefull info

I had a look at some of his maps and the positions he is giving for tds are fairly accurate but very defensive. Keep in mind that tds dont have to camp in the back. Its all very situational depending on your tank, your team composition, the enemy team composition, the way the battle develops and so on...
But like i said basically the positions seem to be ok!
