I've used this trick pretty often right now. 2x 20.000 silver is cheaper than 200gold, but it isn't for 'free'.

I always do that because 90% crews suck Razz better to loose some perk than so manny gold. Except on any commander where you need 6th sense badly rabbit

By doing that you lose cca 20% XP. That might not be noticeable if you're grinding first skill, but XP losses at 3rd and later skills are massive.
