Map tours, 1900 utc Monday [Completed]

A tour of the first two maps requested. Redshire and Steppes were covered last time

TS3, any tier tank to have a roam round the battlefields and covering the basics of the game.

I have nothing else planned, count me in :-)

Let's explore Province this evening, comes up in CW all the time and it's brilliant fun in tier tens! I still think the only reason it's not used for all tiers now is because you can't camp, hence the endless bitching on the forums from camping ******* getting them to remove it.

I'm sorry I suddenly left the training, but I had to help my girlfriend who managed to pour hot tea over her arm. She's fine now, no worries!

Yup, that's what she did, while I had to pick up the broken cup, and mop up the spilled tea...

Rancid - much appreciated mate - was really handy. The middle of abbey has always been a bit of a black hole for me.

Other maps that would be really handy would be:

Steppes - the middle and up where the encounter cap point is
El Halluf - scouting
Himmelsdorf - scouting

Mostly I play heavies, so it's sort of nice to see the maps from a different perspective

I'll keep doing the map tours in conjunction with the CW training, once I know what CW tactics we're using I'll tailor the tours to suit.
Might sound a bit lame but just taking the tanks we'll use in CW and repeatedly practising rushing the attack routes really does help and we'll be like a well oiled machine when it comes to the real thing.

I'll add other stuff to each tour so we'll only use one map twice each time;

weakspots of the tanks we are likely to face,

driving in the correct formation during a rush,

keeping a safe distance from the lead platoon of rushing heavies if you're in the second wave (harder than you might think, too far back and you are useless, too close and you are a hindrance),

platoon commanders duties.

Most of this will be covered in CW training but I'll make it more of a "live fire" exercise at the end of each half hour, once I'm happy the platoons are working well we can face off Clan Wars style and practice the most fun part for me - two CW rushes on the same route meeting head on!
