Tank companies
After a few TCs the last weeks i want to remind all (new) members participating in tcs to have a look at this Topic TC Rules
reason: i have noticed some problems regarding them in the last few TC's. Please read them and try to do so.
why:
-- Keeps our FCs happy so it is more likley that we have TC's
-- As we saw while CW and TC's before a team which follows the FC's orders wins more often
-- Keeps the team happy because it wins
Also i want to ask if there is a possibility that the advanced techniques we learned while prepearing for cw will be added to the curriculum why? it helps in TCs to know about focusing fire, fire lines, and so on. Well not as hardcore as we did in the preperation time for CW but one lesson about it after many new students joined would help I think

Re: Tank companies
Good idea.
A lesson may also be in order with so many new members. I may have inadvertently annoyed a FC or two, because I never received any 'formal' training either. I would welcome a little bit of training on concerting a push, setting up a firing line and trading hp, etcetera.

Same here - I'd love to try some TCs, but I'd be so ignorant that your best bet would be TKing me right at the outset

As I keep on saying, if you manage to do well as a scout in my TCs, there is very little more you can learn playing scout tanks as you've pretty much mastered it

from experience I can tell you he flashes you like boobs, distracting the enemy and then cause ultimate distraction while you inevitably die. But it will be worth it.RoninRage wrote:well get teamkilled or suicide whats the difference ... no dings tc's are definitivly an adventure worth as a scout.

OK, thanks Ronin!
I have read the feedback and what I will do is set-up a fixed wednesday evening agenda with a JTC. In 15 minutes I will explain the basics of the TC and then start.

Re: Tank companies
I don't wanted to disencourage anybody to give it a try. Scouting is compared to randoms one of the most different but in this case much more rewarding jobs in a TC.
And due to scouting in our med TC's not only in Ding's also in the ones commanded by wasp and vallu I learned so much about the T-50 and i think when watching some of the replays I did okish with it before they nerfed it nowadays i go with fast mediums (especially Cromwell).
The difference of the command style is:
Ding does more experimental TC's which means his tactics are not so obvious and sometimes sound a bit weird at first but they are fun and most of the time they work really well.
Out of a scouts point of view: you are alone more time without cover or as BoosB said he uses the scout as distraction (run thru enemy fire, annoy heavies, attack hellcats but also the traditional active and passiv scouting)
What to learn as a scout in Dings TC's: Staying Alive®
So what i meant was: if you are interessted in scouting and get the chance to scout in a TC do it. You most of the time will not deal loads of damage or get thousands of spotting damage, yes it might happen that you get killed but in my opinion it's worth it. Also I would recommend to look out for PointyHairedJedis scouting lessons Rancidpunk's map tours.

Re: Tank companies
I'd like to run a few tier 8 tc's but we need to do some training for that. I'll run a platoon training hour before we face the enemy for real.
Ideally the team would consist of 2 platoons of 4 IS3,KT or 110, 1 platoon of 2 T69's/AMX 50 100 and two M25's or Chaffees and a base defense platoon of 2 AT15's and 1 arty.
Awesome if all the platoons know how to work together but a recipe for a cluster fuck if not!

Some stiffer competition in Champion class, so I will participate whenever I can. Have a KT and an IS-3.

Re: Tank companies
Id be up for that as ive never done that level in TCs. I have an IS-3 with a think at lest 2 skills and i also have a TigerII with at least 3 skills, but i much rather play the IS-3. I also have a T69 but I suck in it.

Re: Tank companies
If you need an extra tank you can always invite me, tanks that i have:
- AMX 50-100 (vents, GLD, V.stab & 3 skills)
- IS-3 (vents, rammer, GLD & 3 skills)
- T-71 (vents, coated optics, GLD & 3 skills)
- Pershing (vents, rammer, V.stab & 2 skills)
and the mighty...
- T-15 (vents, binocs, camonet & 4 skills) it's tier3 and it's perfect as an extra little scout.
From my experience in companies in tier 8 good players are more important than tier 6 battles, in lower tiers a simple tactic that all players will follow can give you a huge advantage but in higher tier companies is the skill of every single tanker that makes the difference.
