In Game Nickname: Barbellz

Country: Denmark

Age: 28

Usable Languages: English, Danish (I guess)

Previous Clan: CIRC, left due to activity issues

Favorite Type Of Tanks (Heavy, Medium, Light... ): Medium tanks. I also like some TDs

Tanks Owned : Currently playing the following tanks:

KV-1S, T-34, T49, M18, M4, VK 3601 (H), StuG III, SU-85, Churchill (the premium one), M3 Stuart (gotta get started on that auto-loader line some day), Cruiser Mk. IV (go go Cromwell!) and my latest purchase; the Type T-34.

I also have a T-34-85 and a Jumbo, but both are stock and not seeing much playing time.

Win Rate : 54-55%

Match Played : Just over 1900

How did You hear about SGTA?: From Lazydot and from posts on the WoT forum

Why are you applying to SGTA: Seems like an excellent place to learn. It appears to be an active clan as well, and it's very important for me to make gaming a social thing. Finally and most importantly you seem like friendly and relaxed people, that value a mature and fun approach. Just what I've been looking for.

I realize that there will be some waiting time, but this is the kind of clan I've been looking for. Being patient is a small price to pay for that.

Cheers,

Andreas

I'm just wondering, you stated you left your old clan due to activity issues, is this your own activity issues or the clan's activity issues? Smile

@b35ty

The very same.

@ the rest.

Due to the clan.

There were a decent number of people in the clan, but most were just in the clan because they wanted the guild tag. They were not interested in platooning and the clan chat was completely dead. I would often try to start platoons or discuss various topics (read: whine about bad luck in games), but even though people were online there were rarely and very often no response.

As you can probably tell I'm motivated towards improving and having fun in a social context, so for me it was not the right place. No offense to the CL of course - he is a really nice guy, but to me a clan is about community and personal involvement - not about watching another individual enjoying the content.

And don't get me wrong, I myself joined the clan because I had watched the stream, but I joined hoping to find a community, which sadly never happened.

Ah great explanation Barb Smile

Yeah same, you can add me to friends and hook me up for platoon anytime when im available!

Also, I am confident you won't have the same issues you had in your old clan in SGTA. We have a raving chat and 90% of time you shouldn't have problem getting a platoon.

Hmm... if you want community... you'd notice that sometimes in the chat... me and a few others lose control and describe 4000 years of history in a 3 hour long discussion.

Greetings guys,

I have been offered a spot in another clan (not applied myself), and have chosen to accept it. I would therefore ask you to remove me from the waiting list.

It's not because I'm impatient, but because I would like to play and interact with others every day and having been 3 weeks on the waiting list and sitting at #4 currently, I thought there could be a long time before I got to join SGTA. Despite of this I'm still very interested in attending your public lessons/classes and hope that I can still play with you in platoons.

All the best.

Yeah that waiting list does move rather slowly doesn't it? Razz

Ah well, if that's what you want to do then go ahead! Smile Although do note classes will give priority to SGTA members, that's about the only major exception.
