So WG has created a new tournament much like Junior TCs here: http://worldoftanks.eu/uc/tournaments/164-Featherweight_Cup/

I think since many people participate in Junior TCs anyway, wouldn't this be a good chance to test our your mettle against actually organized foes? And win something in the process Smile

I think this can act as a sign-up thread.

I'll be the first to sign up! Smile

Preferred eligible tanks of tier 3 or 4 (in order of preference from top to bottom):
- T-127
- PzKpfw B2 740 (f)
- Marder II
- FCM36 PaK40

What about Arty? Bison would be a good choice I think, SU26 is a waste of points.

Not really, I have 800+ games in it, but for this tournament a Tier 2 arty will be more than sufficient. In fact, i would go as far as to say any of the Tier 2s would be suitable, but ofc Bison has the highest alpha (T57 is greta with HEAT shells though!) Laughing

I also have the FCM PaK, but it's not my favourite.

I've got several tanks that would fit the bill: the B2, FCM36, SU-26, and of course the PzIII. Even a T18 - that thing with gold derp shells could pack a punch, though the HP is a bit low for going up against tier 4s.

But it's not about profit, it's a not a random game, it's about maximising the team and tier 2 arty only takes up two points, those extra points could be useful. Besides, in my experience, HEAT in SU-26 has a nasty habit of zero dmg (tracks, gun, spaced armour etc)

I'm not saying we should rule out the SU-26 of course, I'm just thinking the Bison would do the job just as well and would give us more points to play with.

There is still the issue of who shall lead this courageous charge of the junior tanks?

Practically the only tanks used in Junior TC are :

SU-26
PzKpfw III
Matilda
T-28

There doesn’t appear to be much scope for TDs. If you were to take one, I would give some serious consideration to the Valentine AT ahead of the Marder in its current nerfed state. I have played both and much prefer the Valentine AT due to the superior accuracy and RoF.

Not true, Bisons are often used due to high damage output, but SU26s are great also.

well i can také :
pz38(t) - realy nice crew (4th sklil traing)
marder 2 - realy nice crew (4th sklil traing) (but i think there are better t3 TD here, since marder was hitted hard with nerfs - mainly aiming/reload speed)
t-127 - only ok crew (2nd sklil traing)
t-28 - ok crew. (2nd sklil traing)
matilda - not so ok crew (traing 1st skill)

and for tanks - yes i think that having 2x artys instead of one t4 tank is better use of place/firepower Smile.

I might be up for this don't know yet ill have a look at the details a bit more and get back on that part.

As much as i love the SU-26, which would be a good choice and what i prefer to use in junior TC. i can see why choosing T2 arty over T3 as for instance with the Bison. As long as you know the arty players are good enough though you could bring one extra T2 arty along and have three arty instead of two, which could be handy Razz

Hi!

If there is still place i or you ned some one for the backup list count me in (if this is allowed for someone on the waiting list) I am not too experienced in Junior TC but did some in Pz III and as scout in one of the british lights. Tanks i own which might be usefull: PzIII (100% Crew, Vents, Rammer, Optics, 1st Skill Repair 60%) only leveld and then driven in junior tc. I even got the FCM36 PaK 40 you mentioned (100% Crew, Gun Layn device, Camo and scissor scope, 1st Skill Camo 25%) i like to use it in randoms it has an awesome gun and fire rate but the speed is HELL.

I will try to make it to Junior TC on Wednesday to show my abilities in shutting up on TS while playing and following orders ;-)

If you got someone with more experienced and already in the academy that's also ok for me ;-)

Yeah don't think we have enough interest to form one. You might need to find people elsewhere.

to do these things you need to practice junior TC, because that's what it is basically. Personally I'd be interested but my missue is that I need to know beforehand when the dates would be and I can't always join, I tend to work during the evenings. Sad
