To Buy or not to Buy SU-100 Y

Hey guys just thinking about buying this moving house of a td    since its half price. I have no other Russian tds at the moment but I would love to know what people think.

Its epic - thats all you need to know

checked some stats of it's gun to see if it is a lot better than the 122mm guns on the SU-100 and KV-1s:
-module damage 180 (130mm gun) VS 165 (122mm)

Tier 6
USSR tanks:
aim at fuel tank or ammo rack and lol when you pull the trigger.
German:
-see USSR tanks
US:
M6 ammo rack has 200hp, so it isn't really easy to oneshot. fuel tanks still no problem. other US tanks - see USSR tanks.
UK:
Fuel tanks might do the job, but ammo racks are thougher
French:
-same as UK, maybe even tougher.
Chinese tank (type 58):
-see USSR tanks. actually a 122mm also has enough module damage to wreck it.

Maybe I buy the SU-100y, just to blow up ammo racks and setting tanks on fire. (If I get it, i'll definetely train dead eye perk). I'm just wondering, what is the play style? this thing is BIG and it's armor is poor. Do you have to snipe long range, or rely heavily on ambushing?

If you are bottom tier you try to hang back and snipe. If top tier, just bully and troll and oneshot everything below your tier

mine is always the first tank i take out. its a massive troll tank. it will mostly one shot below its tier, 2 shot a kv-1s. its pretty accurate too. you wont need prem ammo (not thats theres much advantage in this tank) it is huge though, i parked mine next to a tog once and couldn't hide behind it! so no real cammo. still it can take a hit or two. mostly its FUN

Which tank has a bigger FUN-factor: KV-2 or SU-100y?

I'm not convinced yet... I think I might get myself a ISU-152 (for pubs, maybe TC and whatever), that's also glass cannon with a brutal gun for it's tier. So then I won't need a tier 6 ISU (SU-100y) and I can keep my gold or blow it on garage slots (moar tanks)....

How good (or bad) is the camo rating on the su-100y?

Edit: checked the camo rating (Spreadsheet). Turns out the camo rating af a 8.8 Jagdtiger is better than the SU-100y :/

I play all my Tds from the back, so lack of armour and camo isnt that important. For me, DPM is what counts.

OK you're looking at this like a scientist. You need to stop that immediately and look at this like a psychopath.

The SU100Y - This is the troll tank of troll tanks.

This is a big, ugly tank. That has a mother fucker gun on it. It will make you smile every time you shoot someone.

And the silver ammo IS worth carrying a few rounds of as it's only a smidgeon more expensive, but it does more damage.

So not only do you get to shoot people and kill them in one shot, but you ALSO get paid for it.

Now troll away!!
