Fighting in the ELC AMX

I am the proud owner of an ELC AMX. I got it because it looks like a lot of fun. Sadly all I have managed to do really well is dying spectacularly.

I would love to get some instructions and even more to platoon with a small group of TC's who knows their ELC AMX stuff.

Anybody?

I got 500 solo matches in the battle flounder, won some of it.

Will be be home late on thursday evening this week.

I did most of the time active scouting at close ranges to my teams HT's in tier VIII+ games and a lot of sniping in tier V/VI games.

Crewskills are Camo/BIA at the moment.

Mine is fully researched with the 90 mm gun. Crew at 85 %, I got camo net and ventilation.

Mainly I really suck at shooting on the move.

I'd love to do some tutor tooning

I'm not one of the tutors, but I can give you some advice based on my experience. (also about 500 matches with the ELC)

I rarely shoot on the move, and i wouldn't advice it in many situations, because it's rather dangerous. So unless you have an escape route and know the enemy will likely not hit you, i wouldn't do it. When i do fire on the move, i often do it while zooming in at the last second, so i can aim better (works for me, but some people just prefer to aim on the move in 3rd person view)

I started playing the ELC purely as a scout, but i found out that doesn't work that well on most maps. Having tried many tactics i find that the ELC is best used as a TD, and it's great at it! Although i also sometimes scout and hunt down the last few survivors with it.
You can even do good damage on some battles with tier 9 tanks, and it's even possible to outdamage your tier 9 team mates.

On some maps like Malinovka i start out as a passive scout, if you have leveled your camo and have binocs you will see your enemy before they see you and your team can just pick them off.
