Re: Harald's Noob Replays (TM)
Played pretty ok here IMHO but in the end it was just me and just couldn't get there fast and safe enough to rescue the day.
Game where I tried some spotting and flanking a tank on El Halluf, got finished by an arty I was trying to kill, if anyone has some comments on how I could've played that part better/avoided death, I'd appreciate it.
Took some big risks here at the end, standing and aiming but am proud of my achievement

M3 replays
Let me state first that I do not drive a M3 myself but when I will I'll consider your style of play as how it should be played
M3 on map Mines:
I'd say you did allright Harald. Maybe a bit "jumpy" between targets. Every gun you leave alive has the possibility to kill one of your teammates.
M3 on map El Halluf:
Good play especially on the hill where you took them in the a***
About the arty: the Grille you crossed his barrel bringing you in his visor which is dangerous, ended without consequences this time. The other you approached the same way, staying in his field of fire while should you approach it diagonal it will have to follow you and an arty aiming time is looooong. So every time it has to turn it's hull to keep you in its aim he will lose aim for a while.
Hope you do not mind me commenting, I'm not an instructor or some kind of specialist in any field. Just an observer

Re: Harald's Noob Replays (TM)
the jumpiness was due to me trying to avoid becoming a target for anyone of them while also trying to make them not notice me on the hill, it sort of worked, shooting at whatever target of opportunity. The marder had me very worried basically.
I realize now that I should've gone to the side of the hill and climb there, but I only knew it was possible later on. El Halluf is a very new map for me and so far I've always spawned on the other side. (or I had td/arty that didn't lend to this sort of play)

Re: Harald's Noob Replays (TM)
Could anyone tell me how I got away with not being spotted after that cowardly M2 light kept firing behind my bush? My camo skill is at 59% I believe (all 3 crew members), is that the reason?
edit: the reason is that if a tank next to you fires the camo value of the bush only disappears for that tank (as long as you don't do anything that nullifies your camo like moving or shooting, you'll thus stay invisible) Courtesy of SGTA Essential Basics Course.

Re: Harald's Noob Replays (TM)
I lost but still think I played ok for being a low-on-totempole light tank
In the end I placed myself between 2 tanks, don't know what I should've done there honestly, it was my demise. (I noticed the KV-1 going behind me so my reasoning was, try to kill the other light and speed away if possible)
one where I forget my gun depression sucks on T-46, making hill not that good a place to be
starting to understand scouting better I think, if someone could tell me of things I should've done differently I'd be grateful. (Gun repair: only did that at the end because I wanted to save my repairkit for possible engine damage)

Re: Harald's Noob Replays (TM)
Shufuni and me are confronted with a tag team of SU-26 with great stats and in 1 platoon, so no doubt coördinating attacks, so we decide to risk our tanks for the good of the team and focus on just taking out those 3 arties asap. Plan works out and only I get killed in the process, hereby giving our team a big advantage.

Re: Harald's Noob Replays (TM)
Hi Harald,
Last night you, me and shufuni fought a battle at pearl river (asia_miao) at 11.45pm (here in the UK anyway). Is there any chance of seeing your replay of it? I had a good game of it, albeit low on actual damage dealt, but wanted to see what was happening down in your corner of the map.
Cheers
Tony

Re: Harald's Noob Replays (TM)
saddest game of the last 2 weeks IMO, which is saying a lot. Trying to figure out what else I could've done in my position, just not sure of it.

Re: Harald's Noob Replays (TM)
if anyone feels up to it an analysis of this one with regards to medium play in general would be great. I'm still not sure where to go and how to handle certain situations, additional info on the linked page.
