How to make videos out of replay files?
Hey guys,
I found this one: http://forum.worldoftanks.com/index.php?/topic/79484-how-to-make-a-youtube-video-of-your-match/
Tried it out, it seem to work so far, but the annoying thing is, I can make only 30 seconds long videos.
Another thing is, the first 20sec long video, were I managed to do only some introduction is already 1.79GB big.
So for those of you how did youtube videos already, could you explain me how you do it and what tools and another tricks can be applied to achieve best high quality recording while maintaining small video size and some comfort doing it?
Thanks.

uh
Searched a bit on the web about it and found this: http://ohsoft.net/product_ocam.php
Quality seem to be decent. Video size of 4 minutes clip is around 172MB the only problem is, it has troubles recording from full screen applications, but well, using settings in wot to un-check the "full screen" mode settings fixes this problem.

I did it!
I just made my first 7 short videos about SHIELDING. Much easier as I thought, the only drawback is, it would take me 110 minutes to upload first one (longest - 3:58 minutes long, 172MB big) of them to youtube. So will do it tonight instead.

Re: How to make videos out of replay files?
I use similar process as in the topic you linked. But with different programs.
For recording I use Bandicam http://www.bandicam.com/
Free version allows you to record up to 10mins with a Bandicam watermark. File sizes differ depending on what settings you use. I use high quality settings as I don't have to worry about file sizes. You've seen my vids so you know the quality, file sizes are about 100-150MB per every gameplay minute. I like it because it has good quality with reasonably small file size compared to FRAPS. It's easy to use, when I open WoT replay it automatically recognizes the window and I just need to hit record. It even fixes the replays if I don't remember to stop recording before I close the replay.
I then put those on to Windows Movie Maker, which is free and very easy to use (I can use it without any prior experience on editing...). Edit them a bit and save them in 1080p HD. This makes 15min about 1-1,5GB in size. Again I don't have to worry about this as I have a fast PC, with plenty of space to store all kinds of crap and fast internet connection. With lower settings in both file size can be cut a lot.
Then it's just matter of uploading those in YT and adding some annotations, which can be pain in the ass.
