SGTA Gold Platoons
Hi All,
I am stealing an idea from the Chinese Medium forum!
I am looking for drivers of the following tanks to platoon to make money.
As all of the following share the same match maker value we will be able to grind in peace without being dragged kicking and screaming into T10 games
Type 59
KV-5
IS-6
Super Pershing
If you have any of these and would be interested in platoons to help grindgold silver, hopefully improve win ratio and we may even learn something along the way, then post below!
Regards,
Grayarea.

Re: SGTA Gold Platoons
Not so much gold grinding, rather silver
I own these two tier 8 prems with special MM:
KV-5
Jagdtiger 8.8
There are some more people with KV-5s around here. It would be cool to do a roflstomp triple kv-5 toon.

It is named after an elitist channel called the gold club. But we will be grinding silver!

Re: SGTA Gold Platoons
Well, I've got the IS-6, KV-5, SP, and JT8.8, and yes, it is nice to know who else has the special MM tier 8s. I don't know how much platooning I'd actually be available for though.
Re: SGTA Gold Platoons
I would like to ask if IS-6 is worrgh buying or not.
I have read opinions that are good o bad but I cannot find the clue.
What do you think guys?
I know it could be off topic here but Gray has made me think of buying one...and maybe join him someday in a platoon.
Cheers.

Re: SGTA Gold Platoons
Im sorry but platooning Type-59's is simply rude, they can have a devastating effect on the opponent team, it would however, be perfectly fine if i where to own one!
As far as platooning with premium tanks, id always be up for that. Im assuming just for crew training/credits so T8 only. I have T34, Lowe and SuperP.

If you don't mind the horrible pen ...and aim time ...and accuracy , it can be quite enjoyable. Knowing weakspots is a must in this tank. The overall thick and sloped armour makes it very bouncy. Weakspots change constantly depending on the angle and distance and whether you're on upper or lower ground. If you're against lower tier who doesn't know where to shoot or is just unlucky, you're gonna feel invincible. If you end against tier 9s, well that's another story.
The armour is really the selling point of this tank. Better than the Type 59, not quite as good as KV-5 overall armour, but IS-6 weakspots are smaller and as I said they change. Everyone knows to shoot the R2D2 on KV-5, not so much the different spots on IS-6. Unlike the KV-5 IS-6 is not slow either, like all IS tanks it's one of the more mobile heavies.
If you don't mind a bad gun and like a well armoured tank, the IS-6 is a good choice.

ok, thanks. I will think about it. The thing is that altough I'm not very good player I'm doing it better with is-3 than in my premium T34, that's why I'm thinking of the IS-6. But I don't know what to do. maybe I will wait for a sale or something.
Thanks a lot.
Cheers.

Re: SGTA Gold Platoons
i think that t-34 and type 59 are best choices, since they are comparable to thier grinded counterparts, rest is rather weak. And personaly i call jg88 pedophile - you have t9 armor but t7 gun, so you can safely kill only t7 vehicles, again t8 you have problems. And inteligent t8 player will defeat jg88 every time.

I have the Lowe and Super Pershing i think for cheapness the pershing is good and cheap to arm and repair and quite often achieve 75 to 80k credits might not be a lot to some but welcome to me.

Re: SGTA Gold Platoons
Have to do some marketing for the jgt88. After struggling a lot, I think i figured it out and it is a really great credit earner. Think about it: Preferred mm, great rof, fantastic aim, cheap shells, good pen and reasonable dmg. That's really all you need to make credits. Just sit back and shoot it.

You are right at that. I own a JT8.8 too and think exactly the same baout that. tbh I have played few tanks which are so hard, JT8.8 playstyle is really though.
I'd like to toon with you sometime crocodile, machinegun the battlefield with 8,8 shells.
