I am considering the psychological aspects of WOT. Also  thinking about what other games WOT is like.

I see chess in WOT. I like chess. There is a defined arena of play ( a board) here are 2 teams ( black and white) The aim is destruction and/or capture ( check mate)
There are different pieces some defensive others attacking, some are fast and others slow ( T49 VS AT2) there are pieces of different worth ( tiers)

I wonder what aspects of other games can you see in WOT? ( not the obvious if you please)

I wonder How do you see this game psychologically? Relaxing, exhilarating, intense or simply fun?

It reminds me more of poker. Play your hand well and you can defeat any other.
And maybe it is because I try to bluff out bigger opponents Very Happy

I see monopoly: unfair and random chances, winning by denial and attrition, more than half the players in your team know how to throw the dice and move their pawn yet don't realise they can own the resulting underlying square. Also the bank always wins. :-P

Interesting question, for not so obvious aspects I would add

- Memory games: Hundreds of different tanks, each one with different configurations available, finally to be memorized in form of dozens of technical parameters like armor values, traverse speed, alpha damage, rate of fire etc. Assessing battle situations is very much based on such data.

- Technology based games or competitions like motor sports or even war in reality: Winning by technology and equipment is also an aspect, e.g. using the latest mods to check your own view range and spotted enemies on the minimap etc. is an advantage or running the game on a sufficiently performing pc with enough fps.

So many variables. It is not easy to consider the technical data whilst fighting. I am blessed with a mind that allows me to do so most of the time on a semi conscious level.

Often when I see an enemy appear I am thinking.. angles, armor, aim time, damage, penetration... its sometimes quite taxing
