Anyone play these games?

In the past I have played many FPS games some at semi professional level. I would very much like to rekindle some of my past joys. Does anyone here play or want to play any of the following series of games


Quake

Unreal tournament

Halo

Red faction

these or any other old school/newish school FPS Games/twitch shooters.

aside from those stategy games im quite keen on also

C+C

Rome series

TA


Some of these games can be picked up for next to nothing or are even free. Servers exist online or it is possible to set up hamatchi servers.


Even if you are not fond or do not know these games then I would willingly play any games I just want an alternative from WOT to play on occasion.. who knows we could even form a ladder of some kind.

FPS games are insta-carsickness for me, so unfortunately no.

I stoped playing FPS after doom. They all look the same to me. I once enjoyed operation flashpoint when it came out because it was a bit tactical. I also played Half Life because, well it's a must play. Now, my PC cannot support any modern FPS though.

Games I like is the TW series (up to medieval 2), The civilisation series (up to civ 3), Paradox's Grand Strategy titles (Europa Universalis III). I also enjoyed Oblivion and fallout 3 quite a bit. 

Games i want to play but can't with my current rig are:

Spec Ops The Line, The Walking Dead and Skyrim

If you are into Grand Strategy, Vallu is crazy about the Paradox Games, namely EU III and the upcoming EU IV.

TW medieval 2. very good game! greatly modded. do you own it? I own a copy! maybe we could play sometime!

I should have my Medieval 2 TW somewhere too. I got the Empire and Shogun 2 also and should have Rome 2 when it comes out.

That's true. I've been spoiled with the demo now  I like strategy games in general. Only some fast paced RTS games I don't like.

Total Annihilation (and it's open source version SPRING) is probably one of the greatest video games ever created.

I used to be pretty good at HLDM. Was once voted the King of alt.games.half-life. I am still in an IRC channel daily with some of those people from back in the day and I met my best friend there.

In the beta days of CS, I was in a top ten European clan.

Currently, WoT is the only adversarial game I really play. I really like the slower pace of the game, which requires you to think a bit more. I am getting to old and sluggish for pure twitch gaming.

I sometimes pick up an f2p MMO if I just want to pass some time. I enjoy story driven SP games (should really try Skyrim at some point) at times, and am a *really* big fan of the GTA and AC series.

Other than that I mostly play cooperative multiplayer. ArmA2, L4D2, Sniper Elite V2, the odd cooperative game of Company of Heroes (I suck at RTS, mainly because I am a slow, methodical turtler.

You can find me as nilzatron on Steam and XBL too (although my 360 has not seen an internet connection in a while and I haven't renewed my XBL Gold).

I used to play Rome Total War, Hearts of Iron III and some very old turn based strategy games.
My favorite simulator was Lock On, flying a SU-33 but then i found that tanks are also fun.
Football Manager series was another addiction
