Extended Visualization Mod on patch 8.8
Hey guys
I have another question. How can I get my xvm back on patch 8.8?
I really took advantage of it on the old patches and I especially need the map mode. Please help me.
Greetings

Re: Extended Visualization Mod on patch 8.8
Hi!
I did a clean install of my WoT client and then installed the XVM 5.0 Version it is a test version so there might be problems did not find any so far.
Where to find:
https://code.google.com/p/wot-xvm/downloads/detail?name=xvm-5.0.0-test1.zip
IMPORTANT: Even if you do not make a clean install it is necessary to start WoT NOT with the wot-stat link added by former XVM versions. Best would be to totally remove the old xmv version as far as I have read thru forums so far.
Just as a tip use a forum section in which your question fits. Would help also others because nobody was expecting this topic in the application section so others with this problem might get help thru this or somebody who wants to answer you question does find it easier
@AnyForumMod: please move this topic to general discussion or a matching section of the forum

Re: Extended Visualization Mod on patch 8.8
I can highly recommend this mod pack as it's so easy to set up and it has a working version of XVM for 8.8
http://forum.worldoftanks.eu/index.php?/topic/219978-088-chr1schi%C2%B4s-modpackage-releaseday-version/#top
Installation:
Just delete any existing XVM files from your WoT folder (including xvm-stats.exe) and also delete the 0.8.8 Res_Mods folder entirely. It's important that there are no residual XVM files left so it's best to ensure you delete all XVM related stuff by searching for XVM in your WoT folder and then deleting everything you find.
Download the file from the link above and then drop the extracted 0.8.0 Res-Mods folder into your WoT folder.
That's all you have to do - XVM and all the mods launch automatically when you launch WoT directly from the launcher (you no longer need to launch from xvm-stat.exe which you should have removed anyway!)
The pack includes:
- xvm full 5.0.0 Test1
- damage panel with fire sound and a reversed damage log
- advanced xvm damage counter
- Enemy hitpoints left on Alt
- sixth sense sound
- crew loader
- j1mb0s coloured icon mod
- Jimbos crosshairs incl. shell travel time and swivel range indicator
- accurate damage indicator
- max zoom out camera mod for a better cam view distance
- max farplane
- death animation tank angels
- HD xvm minimap mods
- no shadow in zoom
- visible railcarts mod
You can modify the xvm config using XVM editor for any individual preference choices. For example, win chance is off by default.

I tried to download this thing but it would not run. I also hate all the bits and pieces you are forced to download just to get it, like "iLivid" and various toolbars and stuff so I got a version elsewhere . I will find out later if it works or not. I missed my crosshairs today.

Re: Extended Visualization Mod on patch 8.8
I didn't get any spurious crap when I downloaded it yesterday- running Firefox and AdBlock Plus. The link took me straight to the down load page. It looks like he has since changed his file host which is a shame. Sorry about that.V_12 wrote:I tried to download this thing but it would not run. I got the pack by Chr1s and the mod by Locastan that totals up your session performance in the system message box...all working fine.

What is the file called? Because I think the download should be in some packed (zip, rar, something like it) format.preunife42 wrote:So all I have to do is to download the file (it wasnt a zip file when I downloaded it) and put it in the wot resmods folder?

The file is called: chr1schi´s.modpackage.8.8.Beta.2.rar (23.0 MB)
Try this link to download: https://mega.co.nz/#!WRcHUQRC!TzwiPkSltA9GfLRDZ9yoAwSTP0QzEbG5KgL5-EAGJl0
Make sure you follow the instructions outlined in my post above carefully or it will not work!
Locastan's colour messages and session statistics pack can be downloaded from here: http://forum.worldoftanks.eu/index.php?/topic/177899-color-messages-and-session-stats-088/

Re: Extended Visualization Mod on patch 8.8
I think IronClaw has the same problem as I do beeing, that it is not a zip file and so I cannot extract it. I think thats why it doesnt work. Furthermore I have Windows 8. Probably that is a problem as well

Re: Extended Visualization Mod on patch 8.8
Sorry have to be quick as going out shooting for the day.
There are plenty of free RAR extractors on the net - it shouldn't be a problem finding one. I use WinRar which is good: http://download.cnet.com/WinRAR-32-bit/3000-2250_4-10007677.html
PM me later tonight if you are still stuck.

J1mB0 x Hairs on Vista
I copied what I needed from http://www.curse.com/wot-mods/worldoftanks/j1mb0s-reticles#t1:other-downloads
I used the J1mB0’s Crosshair Mod v1.32 (this is a zipped version), unless you use Curse be sure to download the version that does not have Curse Mod appended. I mainly use the crosshair and try not to take too much notice of the player stats unless there is a huge disparity between teams. Just copy the unzipped xvm into res_mods and the all the files in Jimbo\res_mods\0.8.8\gui\scaleform into World_of_Tanks\res_mods\0.8.8\gui\scaleform

@preuinfe42: I think you mean the V-Day Garage in your post in oldskools thread @ WoT Forum (as far as i remember QB's video about his mods)
You can find that plus how to install here: http://forum.worldoftanks.eu/index.php?/topic/245125-088-berlin-victory-day-garage/
