Mod for crewswapping?

Hi there

Earlier i had an option to "Put own crew" or even "Put best crew" into my tanks. With 8.8 it has disappeared. I have been modding so long i dont even know if it was there in vanilla-version, or if it actually was a mod.

If it was a mod:
What mod contains the option?
Can you get it stand-alone?

If not a mod two questions occur:
1: Why on earth did they remove that great feature?
2: Does anybody know of a mod being able to do as described above?

It was part of the XVM pack. I don't think it is working for 8.8 yet.

Most of the in-garage mods are not working at the moment, due to a change in scripting. Jimbo's, in garage XVM stats, crew swapping...all b0rked for now.

My J1mb0's is fine  

i switched to grandpa's crosshairs from jimbo's - not so adjustable, but looks nice.

So the "put own crew" + "put best crew" were xvm.... everything points to xvm nowadays...

Edit: works a treat - thx and a +1 (did cheat and use the XVM updater though: http://forum.worldoftanks.eu/index.php?/topic/196435-088-xvm-updater-25-one-click-installupdate/ which has the test2 version of XVM)

Jimbo's works in battle, but in the settings screen it does not. Before 8.8 you could see which of the available crosshairs you had selected, but that does not work anymore.

It works for me, have you tried reinstalling the mod?

I have only installed XVM, and that just a few weeks ago.

I am tempted to try Jimbo's crosshairs (is that the name?) mod. Is the Curse website the best place to get it? Is it simple to install it without any extra gubbins?

I didnt get it to work last time i tried through curse (8. but should be quite easy. Could also be my install on another HDD with odd settings that make curseclient go huh?

If it doesnt work try the grandpa's one - i use it now and installed it via curseclient

I've downloaded J1mB0's crosshair mod and now am very unsure what to do.

I have xvm, so have, in res_mods, 3 folders:
0.8.7
0.8.8
xvm

The installation notes for J1mB0's crosshair mod say copy the res_mods folder to WoT. This suggest I can only replace one mod (XVM) with another (crossshairs), rather than have both.

This can't be right. Can anyone help???

If this is too much of a hijack, please shout and i'll start a new thread.

In your WoT folder you will have a Res Mods folder.  In that will be the 0.8.8 folder.  

Delete the 0.8.7 folder in the Res Mods folder as this is no longer required.  Then drop the J1mb0's Res Mods folder into the Wot root folder.  The computer will ask if you wish the replace or merge the files - select merge.

Job done

BTW, you can free up extra disc space by deleting any files in your WoT updates folder if you want.

That is right, it will merge both folders, not replace the one you copy with the one you have.

I did exactly this and it worked. Obvious once you know, but impenetrable till then.

Go in settings while you are in battle and it will work
It's a bug of the 8.8 client
