T-25 a German Tier V medium premium tank

T-25 Guide T25

First i will give you an overview of the important characteristics of the T-25

Hitpoints: 610
Cost: 1500 gold
Experience: none required

Crew:
The crew is consisting of
• Commander
• Gunner
• Driver
• Radio Operator
• Loader

Mobility:
The T-25 has an hp-weight ratio of 22.61 hp/t what provides a good acceleration and a nice top speed.

Top speed: 60 km/h

The traverse speed of 30 deg/s is compared to other tier V mediums only average. Turret-traverse of 22 deg/s can be seen as one of the biggest disadvantages of this tank, because it is about half of similar tanks of its tier.

Armor:
Hull (front/sides/rear): 50/45/20
Turret (front/sides/rear): 60/60/35

Most of enemy tanks can penetrate you without greater afford but this is compensated with your large amount of hitpoints. Lower tiers often bounce mainly on turret and front. Your rear is actually an open door for everything...

Armament:
Relied on the premium character of the tank, there is only one gun available:
7.5cm A18 KwK

Ammo capacity: 60 rounds
Damage (AP/APCR/HE): 110/110/175
Penetration (AP/APCR/HE): 116/167/38
Accuracy: 0.41
Rate of fire: 14 rounds/min
Aiming time: 2.5s

Over average penetration and rate of fire.

This is no sniper tank because of the bad accuracy!

Review:
After 500 games with this tank I am really pleased I have bought it. The large amount of HP compared to other tier 5 mediums and the good penetration of the gun provides you an over average performance. The only deficit is the turret-traverse speed of 22 deg/s so you are highly recommended to use oil in this tank. Relied on the nice top speed you can reach most of the key positions on the maps faster than the enemy gaining an unpayable advantage.
With premium APCR ammo there is no problem to fight higher Tier enemies. However be carefully while facing KW-1S or other high damage-gunners.
After about 100 games you will be familiar with this tank to unleash its impressive power.

Here a small overview of my achievements with the T-25:
• 5 times Radley Walters’ Medal
• Pool’s Medal
• 5 times Lehvasleiho’s Medal
• Nichols’ Medal
• 3 times Brothers in arms
• Pasuccis’ Medal
• 18 times Top gun

Advantages:
• Very high hit points
• Good top speed
• Good penetration
• Very high radio range
• High reverse speed

Disadvantages:
• Low armor
• Slow traverse- and turret-traverse speed
• Average acceleration

Suggested Crewskills:
• Brothers in arms

Commander: Repair, Eagle eye (mainly useful in face hugs), Jack of all trades
Gunner: Snap shot, Repair, Dead eye
Driver: Clutch braking, Smooth ride, Repair, Off-road driving
Radio Operator: Situational awareness, Repair, Signal boosting
Loader: Repair, Intuition, Safe storage

Skills not mentioned are less important and can be chosen as desired.

Suggested Equipment:

Build 1:
• Improved Ventilation Class 2
• Medium-Caliber Artillery Shell Rammer
• Enhanced Gun Laying Drive

This is my favorite build which provides maximal rate of fire and accuracy.

Build 2:
• Improved Ventilation Class 2
• Medium-Caliber Artillery Shell Rammer
• Tool Box

Tool Box will maximize your repair speed which is especially nice on rushing the enemy and being detracked.

Consumables:
• Small repair kit
• Small first aid kit
• 100 octane Gasoline (highly recommended to improve turret-traverse speed)

The repair and first aid kits can be replaced with the large version (especially useful on build 2 with large repair kit).

I hope you enjoyed my guide and good luck on the battlefields.

another advantage of the T-25: it's rather forward placed turret and Sherman like gun depression.
Vehicle can reposition good, but I find it's mobility is suffering. Probably I should try the octane gas Smile

I bought one of these along with a RAM II for my 2nd account, boy they are fun. I have the same layout as the review above (Build 1) and im using my VK36.01(H) crew with it. The turn rate is very bad (think T49) so I dropped my repair skill for clutch braking which definitely improved things. As said gun depression is good, RoF is good, Pen is good, speed is good, turret is slow though...... hold on its a T49 that trains german mediums. result! Thats exactly how im playing it, im doing well already with an ACE tanker 3rd go out. Credits are good too, im seeing around 50K on a good game.

The RAM II incidentally is something else too, but im not sure how it will fair in T7 battles with that pom pom 6lb gun.

Hi every one, I don't know if I should put this here or in the replay section, so... I'am just going to leave it here.

Before you buy or even consider to buy the T-25, watch this replay( 8,8 ) ---> http://wotreplays.com/site/339201#self

I don't usually upload replays but this one is quite different, in this replay all the cons and pros of the T-25 can be seen.

---After watching replay---

T-25's advantages
1. High Hitpoints: as you have seen, I took a heavy beating from the T40 but managed to have enough hitpoints left to take one more shot from the StugIII at our base and kill him.
2. Top Speed: because of the top speed I managed to get from the enemy base to our base in time to decap.
3. Excellent deceleration: You may have seen the StugIII try to jump onto me from the hill, he failed bad because of the high deceleration of this tank witch is also very good for the PEEKA-BOO tactic.

T-25's Disadvantages
1. Bad Traverse Speed: You can see the horrible traverse speed of this tank when I'am trying to turn in the water while the T40 advances on my position, also in the numerous situations where I struggle to keep behind TD's
2. Accuracy: You may have seen how each shot "bent" even on full zoom.

Hope this little summery helps you to understand and play better with this strange and unique tank.

Thank you for reading and good luck on the battle field!

Hey Naktis,

You can post this here, although only because of the second part where you made suggestions on the tank.

If it's just replays then it's best to leave it in Replays section ^^

Also, nice suggestions, I'm sure many will find it useful.

Well, I didn't go through ALL the cons and pros of the tank, just the ones that are seen in the replay so I didn't really know where to put it, but I think its better to keep relevant information together.

There's a lot more detail to know about the T-25 and I am still learning to use it, I really cant say anything with only 110 battles with it Very Happy
