Am I suitable for SGTA?
I haven't put in an application yet, but I am considering taking a sabbatical from my current clan to join SGTA. I am heavily involved in the current clan, but I think the clan needs someone who has been through The Academy (for lots of reasons).
I'm not new, I go to tier 10, but there is lots I realise I don't know. Without wishing to blow my own trumpet*, I am a natural learner and teacher.
Is this sort of thing acceptable to SGTA?

*I am after all not a contortionist

Re: Am I suitable for SGTA?
I am just another student here at SGTA, and maybe it should be the staff answering this: But here I am still learning with every lesson (or at minimum having great fun).
I would say the most obvious requirement is this: Willingness to learn and add to the common knowledgebase of the clan.
The minimum requirement of battles and tiers are more so that the actual stuff learned can be converted into actual gameplay.
Here's my noobmeter - we are not that far apart: http://www.noobmeter.com/player/eu/brainfarter/503475638/
I am still joining basic-classes and find them entertaining and giving.
If nothing else, why not give it a try?

Re: Am I suitable for SGTA?
Everyone is welcome, there's no upper limit for joining
Looking at your stats there's room for improvement, especially at higher tiers. Most of your battles are on tier 7 and below, with a lot of battles on MS-1, which means your stats don't tell the whole truth. Your recent stats are going up, but little unevenly. I think you have few tanks that you pay a lot and those get your stats up and then you play tanks that you struggle with and they drop again?
It just comes down to how active you will be. If you join a lot of classes and ask for 1 on 1 lessons and platoon with others, you will definitely see and improvement within few weeks.

Re: Am I suitable for SGTA?
That sounds fair enough, most of the time my stats will drop if I am playing tanks I haven't elited or got top modules for or haven't actually learned how to play yet! I did go through an MS-1 phase, but I haven't actually played it for months now.
There are some tanks I have really struggled with and some that fit me like a glove (T34-85). I rage sold Tiger 2 and GW Panther on the same day for instance , Tiger 2 is the only tank I have ever paid real money for to shorten the grind. I have just elited the T-44, which I absolutely love, but the grind was a real trial and learning experience, learning by doing is OK, but proper lessons are going to be a real benefit.
I'm sold. I just need to negotiate the sabbatical with the clan leader.

Re: Am I suitable for SGTA?
Hello I am the clan recruiter,
it is not clear whether you want to apply as an instructor or as a student. If you want to apply as a student, the academy is open to all.
If you want to apply as an instructor, senior staff will contact you and tell you whether you fit the criteria.
Kind regards
Sapaki
Edit: from what i see you are applying as a student. You are therefore welcome to drop off your application form on the appropriate section of the forum and I will process your application as soon as possible. I think your current clan will not object to you moving here as you will get some learning know-how that you can later apply within your clan, therefore, both parties benefit from the deal.

Re: Am I suitable for SGTA?
I have the blessing of the leadership, will remove my tags and put my application in as a student when the cool down is over.
Hope to see you soon. Yes I am active, too active tbh.

Re: Am I suitable for SGTA?
Glad to have another good player in the clan I just joined recently and my stats are not as good as yours so should not be a problem for you I guess

Re: Am I suitable for SGTA?
Hi preunife42, thanks. Stats aren't everything, I'm just looking to improve and learn.
I appear to be in and should get my orientation course later today. More than happy to platoon with anyone, particularly wolfpacks in my T-44, which I think I may be falling in love with.

Re: Am I suitable for SGTA?
Glad to hear you are in. I don't have a T44 but I have an ISU-152 and I think this would be a powerful combination as well
