... hmmm ... so I am screwd as someone who's never drinking alcohol ... but I am trying to compensate this by drinking Red Bull and coffee in large amounts, smoking and driving cars like I drive my T-50 ... but of course with a much better survival rate ;-)

Nevermind.... if there is some need for a troll 3 TOG 2 platoon due to full retarded teams. I own a fully equiped and ready for action TOG 2 after this weekend and I am Online just ask ;-)

I have GLD, Rammer and optics on mine to give it near 400m view range and enhancing the TOGs best feature, RoF. I may be wrong however, but i thought no use with any thing like camo-nets. Spall liner, thats not a bad shout actually, Arty, KV-2's and any other derp gun heads straight for me and take a huge part of my HP.

Does 50% more cardboard armour from the spall liner actually make any difference ?
Boosted view range to avoid having to crawl 30m to see the enemy...sounds like a good idea.

Example:
Derp KV-1 has a pen of 64 on the U-11 which is not enough to penetrate.
So
nominal Damage: 450
Impact Distance: 0 (direct hit)
Splash Radius 2,49 (source ... not sure if splash radius changed till 8.4 by the way ...)
Armor: 76 ( for easy calculation 0° hit ... normally effective armor)
SpallCoefficient: 1,5 (Superheavy Spallliner)

so with a spall liner and the parameter shown above there will be a rest of damage of: 76,5
without a spall liner: 126
when the hit is not direct (like 0,5m splashed): 31,32 against 80,8

so almost half or more then half of the damage taken. this is just theory crafting and i don't know if i (or better my Excel ;-) )did it exactly right.

And it has to be seen if there is enough HE out there without enough penetration to get through to be usefull on tier 6/7 (tanks and arties) and of course it is a BIG amount of credits for the spall liner (750K) but for me was calculated in the price of the TOG 2 with other equipment, camo, and so on.

If it is not necessary I will put it on stock for some other large heavy and fit other equipment.

I bow to your superior knowledge. But my biggest surprise is that there's anything in the game at T5 that can't penetrate the TOG !

And there are more i only used the KV-1 derp because i own one and had the values for it in mind. by the way also i saw several KV-1s drivers using that gun the other day and as i mentioned this a point to try and see it works. In example on the B2 on tier 4 it helped but after looking this has a better armor than the TOG...

Perhaps we should have a list of all the SGTA-ers who are crazy enough to own this steel whale, so we can platoon them up and own all of the things.
