Re: Junior TC on Wednesdays
I think the PzB2 is the only tank I've got that sort of fits, but it's not much of a damage dealer, more of a damage soak.
Re: Junior TC on Wednesdays
I can either take a t15 or an S35 but not keen on buying a low tier and pimping it until I have tried this first

well that was fun, will this be a regular thing now?
How did the results end up, when I left it was 4 from 5?

The idea was to see if there is some want for Junior TC.
Poll showed there is, now let's try two more Wednesdays and if enthusiasm doesn't become less it will be a regular thing as far as I'm concerned.
First edition was promising enough I think and certainly fun.
When I had to stop we were on 6 win/2 loss. Two loss were heavy bruisings btw.
See you all next Wednesday!! And thanks Vallu.

Tonight I'm able to join, and I'm really looking forward to it!!
EDIT: The missus came down with the flu at work, so I might have to nurse her. I still hope I'll be able to join, but there is a chance I can't. :/

Re: Junior TC on Wednesdays
A very enjoyable TC again, but I feel the people need reminding of the rules, specifically:
a) following the FCs orders and
b) Not spamming TS in game when you think he is wrong.
Good job by Boosb and Sapaki too, it ain't easy being the Commander, even in Junior TC.

I would actually rate it as somewhat harder....as situations develop quite a lot faster the lower down the tiers you go.

Re: Junior TC on Wednesdays
OK, yesterday there was no TC, but Vallu helped me a lot in learning TC-s. We trained for about 1,5 hours (even though I said on beforehand that I had to go to bed ) on tactics. Next week I am looking forward to bringing it into practice.
Vallu or other admin: can you fix 18:30 UTC (20:30 CET) on the 17th please?

Re: Junior TC on Wednesdays
Had to sell my PzIII to make room, but I've bought it back now, so I take part next week.
Re: Junior TC on Wednesdays
Hi!
BoosB requested feedback so here it is.
The Pros:
-- In general in my opinion all the battles where incredibly disciplined on the comms and on the battle field
-- All members of the tc where really awesome and it was great fun!
-- I think with respect to the speed of junior tc and due to the fact they are not routined as field commanders BoosB and Sgt_Kelly did a really excellent job! (for a random mostly "noob" like me a winrate over 50% is a really good job)
-- I got a bit of training what it means to do scouting in a not random so say organized context. Was a really interessting experience, was sometimes good for the blood pressure *G* and showed me that, if i want to do this job better i really need more map knowledge ;-)
-- Even if we lost some battles there where no complaints only constructive discussions and this is quite descent for the fun and learning factor of the whole tc!
The Cons:
-- I need more tanks to play for this (SU-26 and a mathilda)
-- I need to have a closer look at the weak spots of the mathilda i bounced almost every time i toke a shot on one of them ....
-- What other companies are willing to "invest" to push their stats ...
-- DON'T FORGET THE ORDERS FOR THE SCOUT!
Thank you for this nice evening i enjoyed it, keep up the good work to the commanders and the team!
Good Night!

Re: Junior TC on Wednesdays
Apologies for only catching one battle last night, however, it was a good battle!
As far as feedback is concerned, im still very new to TC's and I am certainly enjoying being part of them. I am corrected each time I make a mistake in a professional and constructive manner so I understand where I am going wrong, therefore I am learning and hopefully from that improving.
How can TC's improve? im probably not in a position to offer any thing here as im a little too 'noob', but so far so good for me.
Ill make sure I join much earlier from now on.

Re: Junior TC on Wednesdays
Orders for scouts and arty are hard. Especially for Arty, since I generally dislike playing arty and therefore do know the spots. The proper use of the scout did make a huge impact, which also I think reflected in the second half of the session.
Thanks for joining guys and keep the feedback coming! This will contribute to my experience and hopefully quality

Re: Junior TC on Wednesdays
Scouts are indeed hard to command, at least all of the time. Usually they are required to spot the enemy at the beginning if possible and make sure that enemy scouts don't get too far. If no orders are given it's important to stay alive, scouts NEED to stay alive. This does not however mean staying behind the main force. It requires some experience and map knowledge to get right. But that's what we are here for, right?

Re: Junior TC on Wednesdays
Commanding arty is easy - give them a general area to hide in and let them do the rest. It would probably help to designate an arty section leader or something if SGTA move into Champion TC as it helps focus arty fire etc.
Re: Junior TC on Wednesdays
Just a little feedback from Wednesday night. My first ever TC. Thoroughly enjoyed it ... I quite liked having someone tell me what to do Learned a lot, not the least of which that it's a completely different game than randoms or platooning. Very much looking forward to doing it again.

Re: Junior TC on Wednesdays
Well I had my first taste of command. I was lucky that 2 out of the 3 battles I commanded were Assaults with us attacking. That means you can expect a relatively passive enemy which gives you the chance to go about your plan methodically. In the third battle the enemy very much had the initiative and the results were rather embarrassing. Still, I think nobody saw THAT coming.
I think it was the most disciplined Junior TC we've had to date and it makes a big difference for the commander.
Personally I think we should maybe spend a few wednesdays working on tactics, maybe develop a few set plays for situations that occur a lot in these games (e.g. taking down a Tilda with a pack of PzIIIs) so we don't have to work everything out on the fly. Basically the only teams that beat us are the ones that have these well-oiled automatisms in their arsenal. We don't need to become like them, we are a learning clan first and foremost and not a competitive one. A little experimentation could perhaps be interesting.
