Hey guys!
I have some good and bad news....
Let's start with the bad news...
I have joined the dark side of the force...
The good side is I now get special info about future updates and such directly from WG before anyone else in the public.... they email them to me now lol. I doubt it'll be anything gobsmackingly big....but we'll see
As such, here's some screenshot they sent me today for the upcoming 8.5 update and the new map Pearl River.... I'm delighted to say it's a Chinese map
You might need to open the images on a new tab on browser if you cannot see the full image.
I probably should mention now that it is still possible you get the info somewhere else earlier than I post it...but just in case you don't, I'll have it.

Did they bribe you with cookies or something? And what does it mean to be "Officially Community Contributor"? Anyway congratulations Ding.
First time I see the minimap for Pearl River. At first glance it seems to favor mobility, but then again who knows before playing it? Too bad there's no pics of the northern pass, that might be good for heavies.
Edit: And now 5mins after saw more pics, heavies haven't been neglected

you better watch out what you upload. Pretty sure wargamming don't take a very friendly approach to leaks like that . They have serious issues regarding it. Like to keep everything hush hush. Don't want you getting your privileges taken away before you have a chance to use them.

Nice of them to give you some recognition! I still don't get why they don't sponsor more user-made contests; at least they're doing a few more of their own these days, but even so. Not like they're losing anything by doing it.

It's caused by aq combination of corporate structure and sheer laziness.
The WG team who authorizes the giveaway of gold is separate from the forum team who I communicate to often. The forum team are too lazy to mention user-made contests (announced on the forum) to the other team and the other team never checks the forums. Result is nothing happens.
Quite silly to be honest... a lack of communication in the corporate structure is also evident. It would explain why WG is making a loss last year in their earnings...

Spending oodles of money trying to find plans that weren't there probably didn't help. I'm glad they've kept Gas Powered Games in business though.

As a total annihilation player, I agree.

It is a great game, isn't it? I kept up with Spring developments for a while too, but it's been ages since I followed that.
