Is the Matilda Black Prince any good?

So since the update, the Matilda BP (tier 5 British Medium Premium) has had a 44% increase to its income. Would it be worth buying this tank as a crew-trainer / cash tank? The things to consider are if its any good at all and worth the gold. From what I know, its extremely slow, has a fairly poopy gun, but the armor is ok for its tier and it has a good health pool.

Any opinions? I am also thinking of getting the Excelsior for the heavy British line.

From my experience, it won't be all that good. I haven't personally played the black Matilda. But Most of the tier 5 premiums don't make that much of a profit if you ask me. Best just use a tier 4 5 normal tank save your gold. for a tier 7 or 8 premium tank. that's where the money is.

to get an impression on that tank. As i said it did not change due to the patch 8.6. So it's still not good in my opinion. I earn more money on the russian premium Churchill III (Cost 1500, Matilda BP Cost: 1750). Well if you want it just as a crew trainer on british mediums it might be ok but for me it would not be worth it again.

The armor might be ok as long as you don't face one of the "bad" guys on tier 5 (KV-5 Derp, or the fast firing Churchills)

How on earth will I get one? I must own KV-5 Derp! How awesome would that tank be?
But yeah, KV-2 derp is a pain for nearly all meds. Another badboy to watch out for is the KV-1s.

I think that that is where the Mathilda BP will really show it's weaknesses. It is slow, not really that well armored for its tier, so if you choose the wrong way to drive, you are basically screwed..

And your right because of its matchmaking (tier 5 and 6) it will see KV-1s, Hellcat, KV-2 and lots of other high alpha tanks for whom a Mathilda BP will be due to its slowness a easy bait.
