Looking players for Team Battle aka 7/42

I think because of it's higher top speed which is vital to get to scout positions. Also I think it is by no means a suicide mission to be the one using the T1. Watched proleague several times and they are often more game deciding than you might expect (by just spotting the enemy, by capping or also decaping)

One question if i start a new grind now which tier 8 tank of that list will make the most sense (grind level french: tier 1, USA: tier 2/3) 
I prefer the fast light/medium playstyle which I think is more a feature of the autoloaders (13 90 or T69) I am aware of the fact we are talking here about several hundredthousends of XP (in fact between 330K and 560K dependent on which tank to go for ... yes already calculated) to grind which might take it's time but I want to invest this time in the best possible option.

Or shall I just wait till the testserver is up again and give them all a try like I did with some tanks before? ... what also is a bit incomparable because everybody there is running arround spamming gold because ... you can.

Since I would be building this machine and crew up from scratch what would be the recommended skills and equipment ?
Camo net, binos and then vents or coated optics ?
camo and then sixth sense & off road driving ?

6th Sense / Camo are the essential skills. I would personally use Net / Binocs / Vents for the slight boost to view range with the binocs active.

It seems like the AMX 50 100 is the staple tank for this, so that would be a safe bet. With less tanks on the map, vision control and speed become even more important and the 50 100 has much better view range and speed than the IS-3. Other tanks seem a bit more situational, but since you like to scout, the 13 90 might be a good alternative for you.

I am definitely going to try and grind out a 50 100 though. I have an IS-3 as backup, but my T32 will be sold as soon as I unlock the M103.

I am (and already was) grinding for the 50 100 - this new gamemode should make it a must-have like kv1s and is3's for tc now.

This must certainly be to advanced for this clan , we will just get blown to pieces won't we .

1) Losing is fun
2) Can't be worse than randoms
3) Allegedly skill based matchmaking. Frighteningly, there are players out there worse than me (see point 2)

Well don't underestimate the members of this academy. Why?
1.) junior and medium TC winrate at between 60 -90%
2.) CW Campaing 1 yes we did not make a landing but for a clan with no CW orientation beeing in the finals of the landing tournaments or also battling the owner is in my opinion a good result. (by the way i was in almost all CW battles and my CW winrate is 63,41% which is quite respectable in my opinion for a none competitive clan)
3.) There are several players who have been in competitive clans for a while which are also interessted in this battle mode and it seems they are willing to pass on their knowledge to interessted students.
4.) Because of the random feature there will also be sort of mixed groups like we meet them in medium tc's (don't know who is doing this stuff but ... well look at randoms so everything is possible)
5.) We got some very good FC's
6.) As in most cases this is for me not so much a beeing the superteam that rocks everybody point but more of a gain more knowledge on the game, tactics possible the one or other thing useable also in randoms, platoons or normal TC's.

It's going to be skillbased. we will get owned hard in the beggining nd own hard because everyone starts with 0 7/42 skill. after some battles thsi will even out, untill we meet campanies that have a similar skill level.

It sounds like it could be pretty interesting, I've got a 50 100 with a 275% crew and an IS-3 with a measly 90% crew to contribute.

I've got IS-3 and also AMX 50 100

That makes sense , Take into account that this clan usually company battles in Medium Tank Company Battles and never in Champion Tank Company Battles now you want to drive around in IS-3 ,T32 (not as popular as IS-3) AMX 50 100 , T69 (not used that much anymore after penetration nerf) 2 Cunninghams in a 7 on 7 format . But this is not my only concern are we going to be deprived of Tank Company nights wednesday and saturday or are the 7 on 7 format Teams going to play their 7 on 7 in their own time , can anyone answer this .

Ahahaha even SGTA plans to play 7/42

PS: keep in mind that skilled match making won't work at the start (needs time to gather data about players performance) so you can be thrown against some pro teams.

The skilled matchmaking will in the beginning put us against pro teams. But thats fine, we learn while we lose and after x period of time the mm will (should) adjust us to correct opposition. At least lets hope so, otherwise SGTA career in 7/42 will be short.

As for the question regarding if it will take time away from TC's, in my own personal opinion no - its just an alternative and an extra possibility for ingame-activities. There are quite a few in clan with the suggested tier 8's and if they are given the offer to try them out in this gamemode, why not.
Even if i play my IS-3 i still love to play my KV-1S - and will continue to.

This is of course my own opinion and have not been discussed to be in alignment with staff. Just a work-diving-dane talking here.

We kicked some Russian asses on the test server. Actually, we kicked all of them.
We even encountered a team which took 5 arties

The first game we met them was on Himmelsdorf. The very next game where we met them again (they had some T1 scouts) was on Ensk.  

Talk about luck (for them ofc)

Yes it is a bit older but mode used: STANDARD only
Maps used:
Lakeville, Abbey, Prokhorovka, Mines, Ruinberg, Steppes, Himmelsdorf , Ensk and Cliff

Looked a bit in eSports stuff and found that maps there are event deppendent. Just wondered because I watch WOTProleague sometimes but i thought i have never seen battles on Lakeville and Cliff there.

Map Cliff is standard map for 7/42 in American WGLNA and Russian WoT Golden League, for sure. I think the Lakeville is also map in their map pool, but not sure.

Would love to play this mode but I don't have the advised tanks, nor do I plan to specifically grind them.

I really enjoyed this mode on the test server. So much so that I intend buying back a T69 and grinding a crew for it when it comes live. Hopefully the skill based MM will work on the live servers, unlike the test server where it spent 5 minutes scratching it's head before throwing us in to a battle against whatever it could find.

count me in for this mode, but I haven't played it on the test servers..

got IS3, lowe t34, t32, amx1390, loltraktor, etc.
