Looking players for Team Battle aka 7/42

Of course we wanted to make a dedicated team for this, by now we basically have one team of instructors and experienced players ready. But we want to make 2nd team for everyone else that is interested. For this purpose BoosB has volunteered to be FC for the 2nd team, now we need players for it.

What is required of players who want to join:
-Dedication and time. You need to train together, grind tanks and discuss tactics.
-Right tanks. You'll need at least one of the tier 8 tanks mentioned in this topic (you'll need the tank before 8.9, not necessary right now) http://forum.worldoftanks.eu/index.php?/topic/304861-7on7-format-team-battles-wot-esports/
-Basic understanding of teamplay. Either some experienced in TC or joining in to TC classes hosted by Wasp or BoosB.

What can you expect:
-Team battles at least once per week.
-Training, training, training.
-Some pretty cool tactics and teamplay.

Speaking of training. We will have training with 1st team vs 2nd team in training room and probably something else in addition to that. Those who have T1 Cunningham with good enough crew and equipment can join the 1st teams battles to get some experience, and who knows maybe later with tier 8s as well.

Tanks available till then:
IS-3 fully upgraded (Till then at the moment I need to grind some XP to unlock the BL-9 but will be doable this or next week former KV-1 Crew (50% of second skill)
NONE of the other tanks in closer reach at the moment also IS-3 experience minimal (done some TC's with IS-6 and trainings with IS-6).

T1 Cunningham:
Battles: 372, 59% Winrate (sealclubbing like a boss no stopped playing it a while ago)
Crew: second skill 98/99%
first skill: Sixth Sense, Clutchbreaking
second skill: Recon, Camo
Equipment at the moment Vents, Binos and Camo Net
changes on equipment and skills possible

Experience:
Well I am here for a while.
So a bit of TC's Junior, Medium and Experimental(Scouting, a bit heavy tanking and TD'ing) 1 champion TC evening (gold premium noobing IS-6) Clan Wars 1st campaign till around tier 6. TC and CW trainings participated as far as possible. Area of beeing not a absolut noob: "aggressiv" scouting (suicide scouting is such a harsh word ...  )

I only know what I ask them about, and that's hardly everything to do with the game, and neither do they always give a straight answer to me... I play the game primarily, I don't make the game D:

I would love to join.

IS-3 on 89% 2nd skill.
AMX1390 on 76% 2nd skill.

Grind-targets:
AMX 50100 (at the moment im trying to kill myself with the BDR) but will have a buffed crew when i get there due to my FCM 50t.
T69 (grinding with T71, need 18k exp more to get the T69 in garage). For this i have my old SP-crew with 89% on 2nd skill.

Have been around for a while, improved greatly since starting with SGTA 4 months ago.
Been attending loads of lessons and did the whole CW hoepla a couple of months back.

I have Is-3 at 4th skill ready to join.

It depends on the day that the battles and the train will be, I could join or not.

just wandering no team back up need it? I mean only 7 players or a team of 9 just incase.

I'm on the BDR line to the 50-100. Will work on that, but it'll take a while

I have:
T1 Cunningham (will swap some crew around to get a good crew in it on the next crew training discount)
IS-3, closing in on 3rd skill

On the BDR working towards the 50 100, so that will take a while, but next time I am able to buy some gold I can at least convert some freexp so I can skip modules along the way.

Is there some indication when these tournaments will start? Been trying to find this on the WOT forums.

Ongoing as in all the time i think. They will be released as an ingame option in 8.9 equal to platooning/tc.

and on FTR is stated that it will be available with 8.9 so possibly we might see it on the test server which I heard (somewhere on twitch this weekend so don't kill me if this is not the case I don't know only heard) will be on this week.

Usually WG only announces stuff for the next patch so 8.9 is almost guaranteed. I also heard test server should be 10th this month, not sure if that's Russian or EU.

This part I knew indeed. But I also read that there would be some tournaments attached to it.

As Brainfarter stated these tournaments are already ongoing, you should find more info about those tournaments if you go to google and type: esl wot 7vs7

Currently it's the best way to earn gold if you are good@tanks.

Can somebody explain to this noob why the T1 Cunningham is the favoured T1 sacrifice scout ? At first glance the loltraktor appears to have a better view range ?

The T1s arent necessarly used to actively scout all the time. They are used to 'secure' a flank and to alarm the team of an incoming push or to protect the base. If it comes down to a Tier 1 fight on one side of the map for example(lets say himmelsdorf on the hill) the Cunningham is going to win this fight and might then be able to put some cap pressure on the enemy team for example. But you are right loltraktor is used sometimes too!
