Re: Basics of Active Scouting [Completed]
First part is theory, really - after that, if there's interest, I'll look at some individual maps, for which a scout tank will be very useful. And yes, the T-50 is just fine, one of the best scouts in the game.
Re: Basics of Active Scouting [Completed]
I am really interested in such a lesson. I have never been a good scout and want to learn some basic scouting duties. Currently I do not own dedicated scouts. I have a pz2, tetrarch in garage, but they are tier 2 (and pz2 is not so fast). I can buy a scout for the lesson, I have m5 stuart, 38na and A-20 (near stock) researched/fully upgraded. Should I buy one of those for the lesson?

Re: Basics of Active Scouting [Completed]
I'd love to attend this one as I suck at scouting, sadly it's almost impossible I can make it at that time
Ah well, we'll see.

Re: Basics of Active Scouting [Completed]
This Sunday? I work until 1300, and will probably be home at 1400 (CET that is), but my missus is going to Oslo that day, and I'm not sure when she's leaving. If she's gone when I get home, I'll attend, if not I'll have to see her off before logging in...
Re: Basics of Active Scouting [Completed]
I'll try to be there, but I'm unsure whether I'll be able to play that time. The tanks I have for such course are T-50, Luchs, ELC AMX, AMX 13 90, Chaffee, T2 LT

Re: Basics of Active Scouting [Completed]
For the theory part, it doesn't really matter hugely what tank you take; it'll be more useful for looking at the actual maps to have a scout tank, or at least something reasonably fast.
If Sunday afternoon is no good for some, would Monday evening be better? If not, I'll hold the class again at some point in the near future.

Re: Basics of Active Scouting [Completed]
I will attend. Time is fine for me as I am most of the times a weekend player due to work. Sorry in advance if I get disconnected during the class, my internet connection is unfortunately unstable atm.

Re: Basics of Active Scouting [Completed]
No worries, it looks like I will be running it again sometime soon-ish so that everyone who's interested can get in. I'll also do a counter-scouting basics lesson sometime, which will require those wanting to take part to have something suitable; that one's not too heavy on the theory so will be mostly practical.
Re: Basics of Active Scouting [Completed]
I will not know for sure if I can join today or not until the class starts, but if I can't I hope it's either not long until the next time, or that it's possible to get a private class...
Re: Basics of Active Scouting [Completed]
I can join, but only the first 45 minutes, due to having to pick the kid up... is that ok?

Re: Basics of Active Scouting [Completed]
I would think the theory stuff will definitely be done in 45 minutes, so that's fine.
Re: Basics of Active Scouting [Completed]
I'm going to run 15-20 min late due to crazy bus schedules, but I hope I'll make most of the class.
Re: Basics of Active Scouting [Completed]
I hope everyone found that useful! I definitely waffled on longer than I meant to, I will hopefully be able to be more consise in future.
For those that had to leave, and couldn't make it to begin with, what days suit you most for holding this again?

Re: Basics of Active Scouting [Completed]
I learned a lot, even if I arrived fashionably late
After the class, HowTheStoryEnds, weebey, and me made a toon where two had arty, and one was a scout, and I'm happy to tell you that we did indeed win all six battles we played

Re: Basics of Active Scouting [Completed]
It was really interesting and a lot of new info. I'm looking forward to your counterscouting and maps course.

Really nice going! I'm hoping to do some scout platoons with some of you guys too - Monday will be a really good day for that for me.
