Basics of light tank combat - [COMPLETED]
Light tank combat, theory & practical - Thursday 5th September, 19:00 UTC (forum clock time)
This is primarily looking at counter-scouting, but is meant to also cover what you should be doing in a light tank versus other light tanks. We'll be using TS3 for comms.
You'll need to sign up here, and anyone that does want to take part in the practical parts, a suitable light tank (at least a tier 4 scout) will be needed.
EDIT: I realise Behemoth is doing something on that date too, apologies for anyone who really really wanted to do both, but there's no other evening I can do it this week.

Re: Basics of light tank combat - [COMPLETED]
What would better suit? I could have it an hour earlier if that would better for people.
Re: Basics of light tank combat - [COMPLETED]
I would really like to take part as i am pretty crappy with lights and really want to learn how to play them (i have some tier 3 and then next best things i have for scouting are the T49 and Hellcat!!) . I don't have a t4 light but have 6.4k free exp i can spend and can reach the Luchs with top engine but not top tracks (as i have the 1C before it), unless you have abetter suggestion?

Re: Basics of light tank combat - [COMPLETED]
The Luchs is really not bad for a tier 4, it's probably better than the T-50 now to be honest (after the nerfs that received). More of a passive scout, but it can still move ok.Moulie wrote:I would really like to take part as i am pretty crappy with lights and really want to learn how to play them (i have some tier 3 and then next best things i have for scouting are the T49 and Hellcat!!) . Okay, just as a note, I've shifted the lesson to start an hour earlier.

Sign me up.
At present my light tank driving works according to the following program :
IF Scout THEN
WAIT RND(60-120 seconds) THEN DriveInCircles UNTIL Shot
END ELSE
HideInBush UNTIL CantResistPullingTrigger THEN Die
END
So any help gratefully accepted.

Got the Luchs today. Now have top engine, tracks, turret, 100% crew with 46% each in cammo, binocs, cammo net, vents, cammo paint and 1800xp from the tier 5 gun
Several solo games with 1500+ spotting in tier 7 games . It is fun...can't wait to get some real lessons in it
