Hi,
Since SGTA is on the EU server and I am in the US, I have decided to leave (resign from?) the SGTA clan. I have enjoyed reading the forums and the training material. Very good stuff indeed. I do intend to continue to visit SGTA's web site as long as it is permitted and I thank you for allowing me access. Please let me know when this is effective or what else I may have to do. Thanks again.

How did You hear about SGTA?: First heard about you guys through a HighFlyer15 tube vid where he was teamed up with BehemothNL

Why are you applying to SGTA: Though I have done ok so far, I seem to have hit a plateau and cannot seem to push any further. I love the game and continually want to improve, so I'm looking for a clan where I can learn and push further. I've reviewed a number of tube vids by BehemothNL and Vallu01 and liked what I see. I also like the ethos of SGTA in helping each other and wanting to continually improve.

One small issue though, you said you want to participate in CW. SGTA does not participate in CW per se. We are only participating in the current low tier CW tournament but not CW. You will learn many things though that will be useful to you when you decide to join a clan that does CWs.

Why are you applying to SGTA: I need help to develop my gameplay. The reason I stopped playing for about 4-5 months, was because I got to tier V and I started to lose and lose and lose. I wasn't good enough to carry my team if the team wasn't any good, and at the time, I was too frustrated to be able to receive and absorb any instructions properly. I've read about game mechanics etc. (need to refreshen my memory, but it's a waiting list, so I'll do some reading then) but I need some hands on training to be able to put the theoretical knowledge into practical knowledge. I want to become a good player, was bad/average with my previous account. 

Things I had problems with earlier and still do:
Situational awareness
Weak spots
Map awareness
Knowing thy enemy ( )
Acting like a total idiot from time to time...

I'm in the right frame of mind now to learn and am in no hurry to rush through the tech trees to get the tanks that I want to have again (stugIII, Chuchill I, ELC AMX, M4 Sherman, etc). For some reason, I found the Russian tanks the most difficult and boring to play, loved the German TD:s (those that I played), love/hate relationship with the French ones and would really love to get more of them, like a French heavy maybe (the ELC is a must), loved the British heavy I played (and the similar Russian premium tank), the German tech tree and me wasn't the best of friends, but I did love the Pz.Kpfw. III and this is the tech tree I'm most interested in in general, I also started to like the M4 Sherman, so I'm aiming for this one again (I want the Patton), and maybe an American light too.

Things that I'm not interested in; derp guns (unless that's the original gun for the tank).

While waiting for a spot in the academy, I'll get to know my low tier tanks properly. I'm not doing splendid when playing, but it's FUN again!

Oh, and I plan on playing at least a couple of hours every day and I'll be available on TS.

I really look forward to this! Now I'll browse the forums for a bit.

Acting like a complete idiot at times, huh? Well, join the club! I have what I call "muppet moments", where I do something incredibly stupid. And, there are more of us in SGTA! (Just ask Khul about trains! )

I applied to SGTA with 66 battles in total, and must say I would've still been a complete muppet if I hadn't been accepted as a student. Tier 5 really turns everything you've learned around. You can't do much of what you used to do at lower tiers, and if you have a stock gun and meet tier 7's you can't penetrate much either. At least until you learn about weakspots! The same happens around tier 8, though. And tier 8 is even more unforgiving, as a loss is also most likely a credit loss.

Anyway, starting in SGTA with little, or no, previous experience might not be a stupid idea! You'll get formed into a tanker people will fear, and you'll know a lot more than the average player.

Had one of those moments only moments ago and realized after I had been shot to death, that well, maybe stopping in the middle of an open field, in a paper tank, and waiting for the aim circle to shrink, wasn't the brightest of my ideas.

I do have some experience with over 2000 battles, but I'm still no good. It's time to fix that. Now I just need to learn how to find everything on the forum and update my TS, before I can even start being on the waiting list!

I hope that this time I won't be so disappointed in my own performance during the game, that I quit at tier V again.

I am the Admissions officer of the clan. Our new policy is that one needs to have at least 1 to 1.5 k battles prior to joining the clan, since most of the things that you can be taught here are applicable above Tier 4. Therefore my suggestion is that you get some battles under your belt, as many Tier IV and Tier V as you can put your hands on and PM me again to process your application.

Although I do feel you a lot, the learning curve of the game gets much too steep above Tier IV and I almost nearly quit myself at this point. What I suggest you do, is contact me when you see me ingame and I will give you a crash course that will make your life in low tiers a lot easier.

Hey Mad!

Listen, despite Sapaki's requirements, getting to 1000 battles is a short ride at low tiers. What I do however suggest you do, is not develop any particular habits until you reach into the academy. Ideally you enter the academy with an open (and blank) mind. Your mindset plays an important role in gameplay, hence if you get your mindset right, that's half the battle won.

despite the fact that you have been sent here by your current clan to learn, as you already know there is an 18 years old age limitation to join the clan. Although we have made some exception on that rule in the past, the people we admited where 17 years old. 5 years of difference between the requirement and the applicant's age is a bit too much. If you are eager to learn some stuff you can always contact me ingame to give you some advice and crashcourses but unfortunately you cannot be admited to the clan.
